Logline:
Razieh is a respectable woman who works in a public bathroom. She has hidden her job from her daughter. Once a drug dealer called Afrooz asks Razieh to help her sell the drugs. She reluctantly accepts; however, this reveals a greater secret…

Director’s biography:
Samira Hazrati was born on 1988 in Neyshabour. She graduated in acting from the university of Arts and Culture in Mashhad. She began her career as an actress in Neyshabur Cinema and Theatre Association.
She has acted in plays like “The Miser” and “The One Thousand and First Night”,
and short films namely, “Mirror Narration of Simple Stories”, “The Virus”, “Reverse Route”, “There Is No Mistry” and “Tasuki”.
Hazrati learned the foundation of her career as a director in the Iranian National School of Cinema. Then she worked as the assistant Director in “Animal” and as the script supervisor and assistant director in many other short films like “Nightly whispers”, “The Third Person”, “Delirium” and etc. “Checkmated” is the third film Directed by Samira Hazrati.
